About Fields Mechanical
Fields Mechanical was founded by Garrett Dronfield, a Red Seal plumber and gasfitter based in Brentwood Bay.
After 12 working on Vancouver Island job sites, Garrett started Fields Mechanical to do things the way he always thought they should be done: smart system design, clean installations, and straight communication from quote to final walkthrough.
Our Approach
We focus on residential new construction across lower Vancouver Island, working with builders, designers, and homeowners to deliver plumbing, heating, and gas systems that perform for the long haul. Every project gets the same approach regardless of size or budget: proper planning up front, quality materials, and workmanship we're proud to put our name on.
We believe the details matter. Pipe routing, fixture selection, and serviceability decisions made during rough-in shape how a home performs for the next 30 years. We take the time to get them right.
Built on Relationships
The trades community on Vancouver Island is small, and reputation is everything. We've built Fields Mechanical on showing up when we say we will, communicating clearly when issues come up, and leaving job sites cleaner than we found them. Most of our work comes from builders and homeowners who've worked with us before or heard about us from someone who has.
Addressing the Trades Gap
Skilled trades are in short supply across BC, and that gap is only getting wider. We're committed to training the next generation of plumbers and gasfitters by hiring apprentices, mentoring on the job, and contributing to a trades culture worth being part of. Every new home we work on is an opportunity to teach craft and build something that lasts.
